i searched so if this has been covered I apologize..
I'm a former TM- ok "team leader in training on the bench doing a TL job at TM pay"
Once in awhile I ponder going back...
But until I do, am I missing something? I scanned 3 different barcodes on my last checkout, red perks, target coupons...
What isn't allowed to buy with your discount. I buy any gift cards, (restaurants etc), most of my groceries, pretty much everything other than a few things that only other stores sell. I like the buffer if having a day before it hits my bank account..like buying groceries on thurs before payday...
I think the orinigal location hurt, the quantity limit hurt- mostly "resellers" showed up in day one. The huge amount of product out hurt combined with the fact that most people see that much out and think "I'll wait till it hits clearance."
The fact that nothing was exclusive to Target hurt...
I never bothered with a PDA unless I need to check for multiple locations to avoid back stocking too much of an item. For items like that now I make a challenge cart to push around to end caps & check lanes.

I heard about the B&W printouts around 4am and my tm's & I never saw one. I wish we could've been clocked in or at least been able to have more than 15 mins before doors were opened. It would've been great to walk through as a group too. I think it went well but I know it could've run smoother...

Work hard and fast.
Ask if you aren't sure of something.
Stock...
I've done commission sales so in used to sneaking in ways to add more sales, accessories etc. I see it the same way with Target, the more red cards and sales I can push the more it can open up payroll. So while I may not see an immediate commission I push it for the benefit of the team members...
I'm sitting at a steady 30-39, but I also beg to train in every work area I can....Plus the TL's & ETL's have been reminded I keep spare red & khaki in the car complete with optional cape and lasso of amazing vibe ;)
To that team member who took the time to encourage me today & tell me he appreciated that i was a hard worker, thank you!
I let him know it helped me a lot today. I've gotten some flack for working too hard as if I'm trying to make a few look bad...mever crossed my mind, I want to be an...
