    Anyone remember VIBE?

Target has a long history of spending tons of money to roll out some silly program that everyone does for a month and then slowly it slips away and is forgotten. And so it goes over and over.

Should Target bring back Presentation TL position?

The stores I go to have people on the floor but they are not helping anybody just pushing stuff. Nobody has asked to help me in years in a Target. And I do not think zoning even exists anymore.

I just got COMPLETELY screwed over by HR and my store. Holy crap. I think I'm gonna lose it

With the current labor shortage you can easily find a job that pays better and move on. :Let them waste the time and money on replacing a seasoned employee because they could not just do the right thing. It is a workers market do enjoy it while you can.

    An easy fix..

Here is a radical idea. How about specialized teams to handle flow and the backroom. they would be much faster and more accurate. Never mind that would never work.

Why would anybody work at Target now when you can do other easier jobs for the same money. And how long does it take to train people to do everything. I can not imagine having all those random people in messing about in the backroom.

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

Oh yes on a few occasion. One was disastrous new logistics roll out that sent the stores into chaos for most of an entire summer, it took them a couple months to admit it was a disaster and then a couple months to reverse all the changes. In my years I saw many crazy changes and the reversals...

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

So, it has been a few years since I have been here. Recently however my wife has been complaining that the Targets we go to are all disasters with tons of stuff on the floor in the middle of the day, empty shelves and stressed out workers. She even left a store the other day and went to Wal...

Archived Is Target gonna become like Kmart?

Kmart is a company barely surviving, Target is still a massively profitable company. When Target cuts payroll it is not that they can not afford it, they simply want to pop the profit as much as possible. Retail over all is a very challenging environment for everybody now, online shopping is...

    Archived Missing the "Old" Target

Nothing was better than the way the store looked in 4 quarter, a perfect zone, risers tall and full through the store, a big beautifuly decorated Christmas area. Lots of staff. Food and events all the time. A sales floor full and impact. If you were a sales floor team lead you were expected...

    Archived Dear corporate

You would need have your responsibilities outlined to complete them. You can not get the job done if you do not know what the job is. As for the OP Target avoids things like who should be doing the pulls etc because if they told you they would have to provide hours for it. This way your...

    Archived Bathrooms and payroll

Sales were up 1.2%, the problem was Target (predicted a 1.5% increase) and other retailers predicted they would be higher. So Target like most retailers took a brief stock hit and then rebounded this month. Walmart was in the same boat a dip in may and the up since then. So with Target still...

Archived Anyone else worried about the changes coming with store standards?

Man are they still trying to get that stuff to work? I has been years. You would think Target would know every store is different and if they had well trained competent management they will know best how to staff their store.

    Appearance Dress Code

Low hours, terrible pay, non existent benefits, it is pretty hard to have strict grooming standards when that is all you have to offer.

Archived If you work for Target...

If you have well written accurate documentation things in can be checked like when you were working etc. If the other person does not have documentation they are pretty much regulated to guessing and will likely be wrong about details that can be checked. It is one of the few ways I have seen...

Archived What would happen if the hard working team members were moved up to target corporate?

They would spend their day explaining how things really work in stores because of no payroll, poor communication and poor leadership.
