Archived About that pay raise to $12...?

My etl hr literally said that Target thinks anyone can be a gsa. I think I will hand the keys to a cashier my next closing shift and tell them to have a good time. I will be the one sitting on the end of my register playing on my phone.

Archived About that pay raise to $12...?

Yes I just got out of meeting with my etlhr and she confirmed it. Gsas are now considered " head cashiers" and are at the same pay rate as the newbies that just rolled in the door. I feel like I've been slapped in the face. Yet i am still expected to run the front like a gstl.

So at my store with the 12.00 an hour thing all the gsas are making the same pay as the cashiers. WTF.??

    Archived Cartwheel Signs

I hate the cartwheel signs because most of our guests don't read them and then get all mad when their item rings up full price. Me: well did you scan your cartwheel? Guest,: what the #$%& is cartwheel

Archived Does anyone have anyone leftover from their Orientation Group?

I was hired in a mass hire for a new store and I'm pretty sure I am the only one left after almost 9 years. Changed stores twice since then but if any of the tms/etls/even stls are still around I would be shocked. We lost if first gsa for stealing Giftcards. First walk of shame I saw and this...

Archived First cash office shift tomorrow

It's not hard at all once you get the routine down. I personally love it because it is quiet and no one bothers you, plus you can listen to music and drink coffee! I'm assuming someone will be with you to train you?

Archived Our registers have the plague...

It happened at my store too last night. We lost a Redcard app because the register couldn't handle it and the guest did not want to wait. Other ones would shut down spontaneously during a transaction. At one point we had six of our sixteen lanes out of commission. One little old lady asked...

Archived Latest rumor at my store

I'm with you on the shaky registers. We have in just the past couple days had registers that freeze mid-transaction and have to be rebooted leaving the guest to have to go to another lane and have everything re-rung (not gonna be an option on Black Friday); card readers that randomly shut...

    Archived Speed weaving woes.

Another thing when speed weaving that drives me nuts is when I am trying to close down a cashier's lane so they can get to lunch before they hit compliance. Their light is off and I am standing in front of their register facing out trying to direct people to other lanes that are open...

    Archived Speed weaving woes.

I called for back up today and was told by the LOD that the ONE person on the sales floor (who was supposed to be pushing about 12 CAFS by himself) was off limits and that I was basically on my own. We are an A volume pFresh store; how is there only one sales floor team member on a busy...

    Archived Counterfeit bills?

On a side note, did you know that making a copy of a bill, even a counterfeit one, is considered counterfeiting also? An ETL AP told me this and had me re-size the bill when I made copies of our latest fakes!
