My etl hr literally said that Target thinks anyone can be a gsa. I think I will hand the keys to a cashier my next closing shift and tell them to have a good time. I will be the one sitting on the end of my register playing on my phone.

And if I step down the strong implication was my hours would get cut

Yes I just got out of meeting with my etlhr and she confirmed it. Gsas are now considered " head cashiers" and are at the same pay rate as the newbies that just rolled in the door. I feel like I've been slapped in the face. Yet i am still expected to run the front like a gstl.

So at my store with the 12.00 an hour thing all the gsas are making the same pay as the cashiers. WTF.??

I hate the cartwheel signs because most of our guests don't read them and then get all mad when their item rings up full price. Me: well did you scan your cartwheel? Guest,: what the #$%& is cartwheel

It's not hard at all once you get the routine down. I personally love it because it is quiet and no one bothers you, plus you can listen to music and drink coffee! I'm assuming someone will be with you to train you?

Another thing when speed weaving that drives me nuts is when I am trying to close down a cashier's lane so they can get to lunch before they hit compliance. Their light is off and I am standing in front of their register facing out trying to direct people to other lanes that are open...

On a side note, did you know that making a copy of a bill, even a counterfeit one, is considered counterfeiting also? An ETL AP told me this and had me re-size the bill when I made copies of our latest fakes!
