Archived The Big & Dandy Plano thread!

Four aisles, back wall, plus the aisle of all the burts bees/loofas/etc. We did one side of each aisle the first night, second side the second night. Spent a third night going back and fixing what was wrong from the first night. It's been nothing short of a complete disaster for my team due to...

I do indeed mean full-on cosmetics. All the itty-bitty lipsticks and all that. Three aisles of it per night. 7-8 four foot sections per aisle. The girl I've been partnered up with every night consistently under performs so I end up doing 75% of the work myself. TL comes down on me if the...

Archived The Big & Dandy Plano thread!

My TL had us in pairs of two, three aisles per night. We have been finishing two hours past schedule and with missing fixtures, signing, labels, etc. 7 four-foot sections per aisle. Tonight there is one TM assigned a 30 hour POG by himself. At my previous store it was three TM's per aisle doing...

For any PTL's here who have finished the Transcend set: What strategy did you use when assigning the workload to your TM's? How many days/weeks did it take for your team to finish the set? I'm really questioning some things about the way my PTL handled our Transcend set this week and want to see...

    Archived Cosmetics Transcend

My team is finishing the set tonight. We are on the last aisle. It has been a very long, stressful week for all of us. We were missing some of the trays and signs we needed to bee 100% complete. We also had some fixtures that we struggled to get into the slots on the wall because the arms on the...

    Archived POG team woes.

The biggest issue regarding the TM's talking behind each others backs all started with one particular TM having an attitude the night we did the transition from valentine's into easter in mini. She got frustrated that most of us on the team made the decision to dig in and only be responsible for...

I believe we don't do the new beauty project until march as well. Did anyone else have to do all of lawn & patio in one night? That was a nightmare.

Archived Who is getting through the zone??

Zoning? What's that?! People in my store pretend to zone but I can tell you that noone during the day zones and none of the closers even touch the zone. Our store looks like a tornado has ripped through it. And we've only been open for not even a full five months. Even the day after a brand new...

Archived Flow moving to 6AM & wondering how it is gonna work

This is exactly how my old store continues to do their process and it works flawlessly. Divide the team into two waves, bowl out all the pallets first so all freight is 100% ready to push, three people on repacks, two people in softlines. Wave 1 starts in Dry Market. Wave 2 starts in HBA. Then...

    Archived POG team woes.

I recently moved to a new store to join their POG team and help try to lead the team toward becoming successful. Over the last few weeks our POG work load (an overnight team) seems to be becoming more overstretched with the amount of work we are being given compared to the amount of hours we...

Archived New hires coming while my hours cut

We never have more than 20 people during a dayside shift in my store. Ever. We're lucky if we have 20. And our o/n log ETL's/TL's have been on a spree of terming people and giving out write ups for stupid things that aren't write up worthy the past week or so. I've started looking elsewhere for...

To the FL tm who rang me up this morning: Gtc to you, darling! It's rare to see a smiling, friendly, opening shift tm at your store. Thank you for understanding my not wanting to shop at my own store b/c of the events happening there today. You were a bright spot in my day after a terrible...

    Archived Scheduling

We either have an ETL or HR doing schedules. Our ETL never schedules us for more than 5 days in a row. Though currently we are lucky if we even get three in a row. On the sixth day you *HAVE* to take a day off by law (varies by state).

Uhhh yep. Seattle is hands-down far more swanky than the Chicago store. We really pale in comparison.

...how close the team was to walking out on you tonight. We wouldn't despise you as much as we do if you would work on your attitude. We are grown *** adults and we aren't stupid. We deserve better than being talked at/down to. How about we have actual adult dialogues and maybe you would be more...

Archived What happens if you walk out...

At my store every tm/tl/etl/lod/etc has key cards but we are all keyed to different doors. If we are termed we have to give the card back. We can't let any other tm/tl/etl/etc borrow our cards for any reason.

We're down to less than 300 now. And more will be let go before any of us even reach 90 days. They over-hired at the mass hire event and are letting go of the people who don't work out and the people who get themselves termed. We've lost several tm's for theft related circumstances this past week.
