Hey Greenshirt. I know this is an old post, but what do you mean when you say your dc is a small burden? Is it different from T580?

Archived What can you tell me about working at a distribution center

There are always some downers, but i think most are happy with their jobs. As far as departments, its all in opinion. The easiest would be warehousing. As i said before, mostly they just ride around all day and move freight from here to there. Hardest part is just making your daily numbers...

Archived What can you tell me about working at a distribution center

Strong piece of advice. You would be amazed how devastating it is for your feet to stand on the same equipment for 10 to 12 hours. Invest in some VERY comforterable shoes (target approved of course). Buy some gel insoles or something, because otherwise it will feel like your feet were beaten...

Archived What can you tell me about working at a distribution center

To Aperson, At my DC, warehousing people spend 95% of their shift on equipment. Getting certified is easy. If the job your assigned requires a particular peice of equipment then beforehand they will assign a trainer to fill out some paperwork for you, then give you a basic rundown of how to...

    Archived Unionize

Unions are the worst idea. Everyone is so spoiled these days. Union were created back when most jobs were dangerous. Back when the death rates at job sites was 50%. Back when those same jobs paid next to nothing at all. Unions served their purpose and brought us out of that era. Here and now...

    Archived Something to remember

I dont want to list the name of it, but i was a mechanic at a tire shop. One of largest tire companies in the world too, not just a mom and pop shop or anything. And in case anyone read my post wrong, i love working for spot. The whole point of my post was to show it is such a step up from other...

    Archived FacOps Interview Coming Up

Haha ok ok. I will be the first to say their job is very important, but the individual workload of a UA is nowhere near that of production crew. Our UAs even admit that. Most UAs are from production, and thats why they posted for FacOps. Easier workload.
