    It takes a while to roll something that big out. Our store is training our front end team slowly on each position, and maintaining the current atmosphere so we aren't just hurled into the darkness. Our store at least plans on switching the positions up starting end of April/beginning of May.

    That's nowhere near fast enough to check people out with compared to an actual register, plus you need to cut the line somehow, and people aren't gonna line up at the front of the lanes, so might as well get on a register.
