Archived Do any of you get the same quests from people on a daily basis?

Keep in mind, though, some people have no need to eat gluten-free. It's just the latest fad they're following, and they have no interest in doing actual research.

Archived From the file: ARE you kidding me....

I once attempted to do a cart full of SSS reshop. Once I realized that it was going to take me somewhere in the neighborhood of a week, I just pitched the stuff into bins, making sure that $1 stuff was in $1 bins, $3 stuff in $3 bins, etc.

Archived Using promo gift cards during same transaction

I was waiting to check out yesterday after my shift was over, and the people in front of me earned a promotional gift card (buy X of this, get $5). After the cashier finished scanning everything, she applied the just-earned GC to the transaction. I didn't think that was permitted, or am I...

Archived Scheduled in more than one workcenter/time clock

If I'm scheduled to work, say, Instocks from 7-11 and BR Day from 11-3:30, do I need to use the "change workcenter" function on the time clock? Or is that just if I get asked to stay late and work somewhere other than where I was scheduled?

Sure. Wouldn't even be the strangest thing I've ever worn, but that's a subject for an entirely different thread....

To that one Team Member I - ARCHIVED

This may have come up before, but I haven't the time to scan 100 pages.... Please stop holding the walkie upside down and talking into the speaker. When you do that, nine times out of ten part of your hand is covering the actual microphone so you sound like your mouth is full of marshmallows...

This is downright tame compared to some of these stories. :)

Archived Ugh! TMs (and a guest) got on my last nerve today (or maybe it was just me)

That's the thing -- there's absolutely NOTHING different about the contents of the caddies. Maybe she just has slight OCD and there's something about that particular caddy. She gave no explanation, and to be honest, I wasn't all that interested in pursuing the topic. Just seemed weird coming...

Archived Ugh! TMs (and a guest) got on my last nerve today (or maybe it was just me)

Thanks, CC. Even after my vent, I want to say that the vast majority of my time at Target has been a lot of fun. I'm starting to get more BR hours again (what I was originally hired for), and I much prefer the "behind-the-scenes" type of work, though I have no problem working pulls or assisting...

Archived Ugh! TMs (and a guest) got on my last nerve today (or maybe it was just me)

So I was scheduled for Instocks today at 6:30 AM (I usually go in at 7:00 when scheduled for IS). I don't know how things are done at other stores but at ours we have some little plastic caddies that contain grey dots, blank labels, rain checks, etc. so we always have the tools of the trade at...

Didn't notice that at first. Thanks, HM.

    Hokey smoke, Bullwinkle! That's terrible!

Archived Target is not going out of business because hours gets cut!

What about the "red dot item numbers?" No help in explaining the situation to the guest?

Archived Using PDA in connection with Instant Substitute signs

I've been trained on what to do, but in many cases not why to do it. Thanks for clarifying.

Archived More thorough training for non-seasonal?

So I've been asked to stay on for non-seasonal. During my seasonal employment it was obvious that I was being taught just enough to be able to help pull, backstock, push, scan Instocks, etc. Are stores pretty good about broadening your training once you become "permanent?" I've already...

Archived Using PDA in connection with Instant Substitute signs

I'm confused about the Instant Substitute signs. I occasionally do Instocks, and if I make an IS sign, do I have to use the PDA sign setup function? If so, how do I use it correctly? (I'm not scheduled again until 1/1, and I'm not all that keen ongoing and asking on my days off.) Thanks! BF

Archived SEASONAL employees (when do they start getting let go?)

At my store I was told about ten days before Christmas that they'd be keeping me, and I know some others have already been told that they aren't staying on.
