this can be said for any of the exteeeeeeme couponers, too. once I see that binder, I turn off my light to keep customers from piling up in my.lane and I call for backup. It's usually at least a 20 minute affair as they niggle over every coupon in the pile.

while the overtime listing is a bit odd, the full store schedule isn't. no one is going to hand you a sealed envelope with your schedule enclosed like a confidential document.

Archived Can someone tell me what are the ETL and STL core roles?

overall, the point of all to remind you that unless you are minutes away from becoming a manager, don't worry about what *their* job is, worry about yours. do your job.

Archived Can someone tell me what are the ETL and STL core roles?

Mostly a store manager is worried about three things: hours budget, redcards, and district manager visits.

I have talked about it at work and we have a lot of people who'd be in on it if it weren't for the fact that ours is a "Right To Work" state...

Calling out on Black Friday or Thanksgiving had better come with the bill from the Emergency Room. Or a death certificate. It's "too important" that the drones get their deals than for us to have anything happen to us in those 48 hours.

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

just remember, withoit any real incentive to get them, asking is the best you should expect. you can coach thwm for not asking, but you shouldn't coach them for not getting them. especially next weekend, there won't be a lot of time for people to be hammering away at a long sales pitch.

you have to remember, anyone over the rank of Store Manager typically has no contact with the reality of retail. they think they know what is going on, they recieve reports telling them what to think, and our job is to smile and nod when they hand out their sage advice.

Speed weave? whatever that means... You have to figure out what is important at the moment. Change calls? probably urgent. price check? maybe better handled by a person on the floor. If you are qualified to be a GSA, your first job will be to figure out how to decide.

somehow, I was missed on the schedule for Thanksgiving, but I have heard quite a few people saying the same thing, especially after the "don't even bother, you're working that day" speech we got. I work Black Friday from 7am to 4pm in Electronics.
