See if you can volunteer to help out the salefloor when needed. I would volunteer to help put up stray when the store slowed down (as long as I was the first to respond if a back up is needed). Eventually one of the salefloor tl's asked me if I could cover some softlines shifts and I jumped on...

Also, "The Vibe" is now going to be our reeducation camp for those team member who stray from the fast fun and friendly culture. ^I don't know whether to sarcasm font that statement.

You do get an adjacency. So when new merchandise comes you get that telling you how to set everything. The creativity part comes in as stuff sells through, you have to remerchandise. They stress not having empty spots in those areas in the store. Stress your background in graphic design. You...

I think that's just for my district. I haven't met any vml's from, other places. @iamme I like it so far. It's a little challenging sometimes, but according to the higher ups I'm doing great. And the team leads have been awesome in supporting me as I learn. It'll be a learning experience for you...

I did 4 interviews. SF ETL, HR ETL, stl, then dtl. They're formatted like TM interviews, situation, behavior, outcome questions, but leadership oriented. With the stl, there was a packet. They show you a few pictures of what's considered brand, then show you pictures that aren't brand and ask...

    Archived Call Outs Vent

I had that happen once. I volunteered to not come in so they can cut payroll. Then someone called in. And now our store is in this workers place, where they need to cut payroll, but 90% (grossly exaggerated, I'm sure, but a large percentage) of our tm's are students. So we're super short...

Archived Anyone else hate their job?

I'm in an awkward place with spot. I had resigned to the fact that my situation (college degree, cashier pay, better job leads never panned out) sucked and contributed to my depression. I was ready to quit by the first week of August. Then I got promoted. And now I don't know how to feel about...

Archived talk about all the fraud you see guests do at target.

We keep getting people trying to do a nonreceipt return with tiny or blurry copies of temporary id's that have expired. And not like it expired last week. We're taking like 2 or 3 years expired. Then I had a lady try to return a Dyson she got at another store the day before. I was up for a...

I would try requesting an availability change. It worked for me when I was getting invovled with some church committees. I was a cashier, so if they scheduled me I'd close on Sunday.Usually a short shift. I would also discuss it with your ETL.
