    Archived Last Shift

Finally found a new job much more in line with my career and financial goals. That said, Spot has been a pretty good employer keeping in mind it IS retail. I worked with some very diligent folks in the dayside backroom. I tended to read more than post, but this forum was a great help ...

Archived Possibility to move to the backroom... Advice from any backroom TM's?

I'm sure that each backroom team is different. (I'm talking dayside since I've never done overnight). Our Dayside Backroom Team is pretty amazing. High volume store so we don't push CAFs, and it takes most of an hour just to pull - so the only guest interaction comes when running guest pulls...

Archived My Pedometer says that I've walked 2,012,276 steps inside Target in the last year.

RE: Backroom. I log between 20,000 - 24,000 steps for a mid or closing shift. Pretty much non-stop activity @ a busy store.

    Archived Filthy Tubs and Vehicles

I am amazed at how filthy our tubs are. Maybe mostly from leaky trash or other spills. Dark, cruddy stains; ground in dirt; unidentified messes - not one of our 30+ tubs actually looks good (and red!). I know we have few hours and there is rarely much extra time with existing TMs and workload...

Archived The Big & Dandy Backroom thread!

It Keeps Getting Worse I'm sure its mostly related to our remodel, but our backroom is absolutely a mess pretty much every day. We (dayside) try to be understanding, but someone seems to have under-logistic'd this one. We get a nightly truck, and flow seems to be on top of most things, but...

    Archived Remodel

We are well into our remodel. Huge new freezer and reefers are about ready to go online, but everything is really a mess in the backroom with our sales floor teams just dropping backstock "wherever" since they don't know where anything might be ... sometimes they leave it in the midst of the...

Archived What you like about working for Target?

Our store honors Starbucks card policy and refills are free (assuming you used a registered card to pay). I have to admit that I enjoy that there are so many really cute kiddos that bring their parents in to shop.

    Archived Remodel

Remodel Day One So ... it has begun. Contractors today tore out a bunch of stockroom shelves, and the remodel team has re-numbered a bunch of others. Can't tell you how many times I headed off to the wrong location ... The entire dayside BR team was pretty positive, yet frustrated, with...

    Archived Remodel

Remodel Impact on Backroom Our store begins remodel in earnest very soon. Being fairly new to Target (dayside backroom) I've just figured out where everything belongs and now things seem to be moving daily. I understand why since we're getting the Pfresh and get new/larger Freezer, Reefer, and...

    Archived Equipment

So, I've been a TM for a month - on Backroom Dayside. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality of my fellow workers and actually enjoy being busy - we are one of the busiest stores from what I'm told. We pretty much hit all our times with Research, Cafs, and the like, but I find that I waste a...

Archived New Old Guy at Target

So ... I'm new to target (just three weeks in) and new to the forum. I'm on the Dayside Backroom Team for what I'm told is the busiest Target in our district. I had just bookmarked the old forum thinking "this is gonna help" & then it went down the next day. Hopefully some of that stuff will...
