Archived I’ve been gone from target for 6 months love it

I left Target over 3 years ago and don't miss it a bit. Especially this time of year.

Archived Target has ran it's course.

Because I've made a lot of friends here and being as I'm still friends with some of my former coworkers I like to keep up. Don't read every single post though. Just what interest me.

    Archived And just like that....

That's how I felt when I left Target. I like coming on here and seeing how things were going. Was at IHOP for their 50 cent short stack today with a bunch of my former coworkers. I have never been so glad I'm not there anymore. Just out of curiosity what denomination?

Archived I am once again a guest!

I have been so relieved and happy since I left Spot. It's only been a month and I can't believe how much less stress I have now. And it seems most every time I'm in the store I have 2 or 3 of my former coworkers coming up to me to ask if they're hiring where I am at now.

Archived Making a run for it

That's the way I felt leaving Target. I miss the people I worked with but not all the other stuff going on. Of course, I've seen a few of my former coworkers at Hobby Lobby and I'm friends with a lot on FB and thru email.

    Archived Happy Trails to me!!!!!!

That's one of the things I like about Hobby Lobby. Well, that and the $10/hr & the 5 min from my house:D. Orientation today went ok. The one downside is that between them and Target I'm working 10 days straight:eek:. I am very seriously considering calling off from Target one of the days...

Well, it wasn't too painful. Our etl-hr was very understanding. So my last day is April 30th. I had put in for vacation on the 1st thru the 7th of May anyway. But I'd miss you guys so I'll probably keep checking in. (a lot :))

    Archived Happy Trails to me!!!!!!

I wanted to officially announce that I got me a new job and it's not Target.:D:D:D:D:D:D Monday I go in to fill out new hire paperwork and for training at Hobby Lobby. It's $10/ hr and 25 or more hrs per week. Plus, it's only 5 minutes from my house.

    Archived if not spot...then where!?!

My husband has been working at Lowes for the past year or so. It was his second job but now with social security it's his only job. He works 8 hrs Fri, Sat, and Sun. No problem with breaks or lunches. He's part time but has been offered full time. Can't do it with the ss. Oh, and they get...

Archived I think I may get fired...Will I? Is it justifiable? What do I tell next job?

There was one time I had to call out when my father-in-law died and the LOD wouldn't come to the phone and told the operator to take a message. My husband and I stopped at Target on our way out of town to let them know since I wasn't comfortable with just leaving a message.

    Archived if not spot...then where!?!

My husband works for Lowes part time. They do pay better. He started at $10/hr and is now making $12/hr. So far they haven't taken away his insurance but they don't do their enrollment until June. I've heard that Costco is really good to work for but there isn't one close to me.
