Me! I'm 21, just got my third team leader assignment and will graduate from school in December with a Double Major.

Used to be Sr. Consumables TL and I created the entire schedule for the food team(Produce/Meat/Dry/Dairy/Frozen). Not uncommon in my area. We were encouraged to do it to own our work centers, but we have a completely different culture at our store than most.

It really comes with time as well as the MyDevixe vendor names are wrong a lot of time. CTL is a great position and it really feels as if you are running your own business as you can make deals with vendors and TPC items in order to increase sales and compete with local retailers.

I never work Sunday morning as a Sr TL. I also have off every Tuesday and Thursday for School with only Friday being fully open. I do work every weekend but in the end, I always know what is going on!

Congrats!I had the same problem last year when I was promoted 2 months before my 19th birthday. I ensured they understood who was in charge but was not a dick about it. Be prepared for complaints, I had several but those TMs are gone now.

We get DTL visits every week and last week she came in with the group market leader, and a huge group of Corporate HR leaders. I told my STL that she was in the store and she started freaking out because she said they just talked and she said she was not coming in this week and that she will be...

I hate it when my team whines because they didn't go right at there 2 and 1/2 hour mark... At my store we do breaks based on business needs and not when they want to go. The older seasoned ones can't comprehend that some days.

Our STL just left to go work for trader Joes. She said she didn't like the target was going and also wanted a better work life balance for the same pay.
