We have always been told we could not leave Target property during your break. While it is a rest break for you, you are still getting paid during that time & Target is responsible for you just as if you were still working.

You may leave Target property during your meal period because you are not being paid during that time.

Can you leave the property on your 15 min break?

You’re not suppose to but if your going something like 7-eleven across the street, it’s unofficially okay.

Officially on any paid breaks, you must stay on Target property. If you’re on an unpaid break (aka lunch), you can leave Target property.

Nope not at my store. Technically you are on target paid time. People have tried but been spoken to. Asants for sure

Not a smoker, but for those who smoke: what if there's not a "smoking allowed" area? This would be a PIA for those in big-city urban core Target locations, where smoking restrictions tend to be extremely strict.

I don't think you can leave Target property during a paid break for insurance reasons, if you got injured off property they have cause not to pay you for an on the job accident.
