I want to keep the question short and simple. I work at target as a basic team member. I am in talks of becoming a team lead however I recently had gotten a "no call no show". I am generally on time and this is my first no call no show in a very long time (I think its my second overall)
How badly does this hinder the process of becoming a team lead?
How cooked am I?

NCNS is an automatic corrective action, which disqualifies you for promotion (or transfer) for the 12 month period. This can be overridden by the leadership team however, so if they're set on you I wouldn't worry too much.

Alexander Graham Bell invented a device called the telephone. Accidents happen and with proper explanation the absence can be exonerated. No excuse for blatant forgetfulness.
