Archived Capitalizing before Quitting

Hi everyone, I have a question about getting the most out of my vacation hours before quitting Spot. Would you recommend simply cashing in 30 vacation hours? I've heard rumors that I don't get their full value, that they are more heavily taxed, and I don't know whether in Texas I will lose my personal hours... help!! 🙂

You would lose your personal holidays if they weren't used before you cashed out.
Depending on your weekly avg, you might want to put in for vay-cay & use up the PH.
You might get taxed less & it would certainly help if you can extend any health ins benefits.
It would also extend your last day (if you wanted to do some last-minute shopping with a TM discount.

I don't know if it varies by state, but I cashed mine in. I had a week saved up and though the taxes were slightly higher, it wasn't significant. I got to put a whole extra paycheck right into savings.

Vay-cay is paid out but IIRC only a few states pay out personal holidays &/or sick time.
Texas (state of denial) isn't one of them, of course.
