To get your RedCard metric, you will have to process the application from beginning to end.

If you are cashiering, check in with the GSTL/GSA for the shift since you are new. Other times there is a schedule breakout at GS or a closed lane, it may have your lane assignment, if not check with the GSTL/GSA.

For the redcard application there should be a booklet in your drawer or somewhere around the register. You first ask the guest if they know their social and have a state ID or passport. You then scan the barcode on the booklet and point the guest to the card reader to answer application questions. Once they select the credit or debit option you hit total on the register and scan the ID or key the info in if need be. That's really it. If they are approved a barcode prints out that serves as their temporary card. If declined, a short slip prints out.

In my store the redcard barcode is taped to the register as well.

If debit is selected, they need a voided check and you just follow the prompts on the screen to guide you.

We have had some shady gsas steal red cards from new cashiers. Try to process them yourselves.

At my store the daily break schedule along with lane assignment is in the TSC above the regular TM grid.
