Archived ETL Transfer?

I'm a new ETL that started this past September. My husband recently had an amazing job offer in another state. What are the chances of getting transfered? I have asked around a little and seems like they are pretty firm with doing your 18 months in one place. Is it possible to resign and just apply directly to another Target in the other state for an ETL position? Will I be "blackballed" if I do resign and apply in another state? Any advice, stories, or words of wisdom?

Pretty hard unless you've got a good in - mostly with the DTL. Though even then it'd be hard to do such a transfer. Like I have a really good relationship with my DTL but they wouldn't be too stoked if after they got me hired, trained, in role, etc only to have me ask to leave their district.

Resigning and re-applying. Won't necessarily lock you out, but definitely wouldn't help your case in most circumstances. Would be a red flag to most.

Could always let your husband go alone, finish your 18 months and follow him over.
