Hi! I'm a new Target Starbucks TM, just started in January. I've worked in retail and food service a few times before, but not like this. I read TM horror stories on the Internet as I was applying at my neighborhood store, but I really needed a job close to my house. So I interviewed and accepted the job anyway.
So far so good. It's fast-paced ("Fast, Fun, and Friendly," right?) with a lot to learn and do. Our Food Ave. manager is good and I'm getting around 30 hours a week so far. I'm also cross-trained as a cashier, and I cashiered Sunday and Monday (OMG, was that ever hard work). Last night I closed our Starbucks for the first time all by myself -- and survived. And I get to go back in at 10:30 a.m. and do it all over again ....
Looking forward to my time in The Break Room. 🙂
