So I go into work today and I check that for the week that's coming up I'm getting 16 hrs... The following week I'm only getting 5hrs only working one day. Does this mean that they might fire me? Should I start looking for a new job? Please help

Nope, they're providing you with an opportunity to pick up shifts from the swap board.

Don't worry! They just cutting hours as usual. If they wanted you fired you should had been already. Just pick up shifts if you can.

Yeah no, you're not going anywhere. Check to see how long the pick up shift list is. The hours are most likely being cut due to sales or redcard aquisition

File an unemployment claim. Most states allow for unemployment if you are scheduled for 50% or less than your weekly average. This should get some more hours for you. Or, scrounge thru the swap book which at least gives you the power to pick & choose which days to add.
