How long is business college for a new ETL-HR and what are the instructional hours? 9-5?

I was just promised an ETL HR position by the DTL To be groomed as a HRBP within 18 months. I'm a HR officer for the Army right now and will be transitioning out soon..... I am aware that there will be 1 ETL HR per 2 stores soon. That changed has already made its way to my local Target as I am shadowing her now.

This 1 HR per 2 stores is going to be a mess...

While you're shadowing note that they can change their mind to fit you where they need you. We have a ETL in training at the moment in my store and she's only been shadowing for a week and last week they changed her from HR ETL to Sales ETL or w/e it is called.

Welcome! First, let me try to explain this to you as simply as possible.

Ignore the equality part. No matter what they said they would be grooming you for, more than likely it just isnt going to happen.

Target recruiters and upper management are good at fast talking, but ultimately you will probably not make hrbp in 18 months. With previous hr experience, most likely you will be placed into hr.

I'm not trying to scare you away, but I would urge you to go speak to some hr etls at other stores and get their first hand perspective before going in guns blazing.
