Archived How many call-offs are alright?

None. I have never called out ever. It's retail and calling out affects your team it really does. Of course we understand shit happens but if you can help it try to show up for every shift rain or shine.

At my store, apparently you can call out as much as you want and nothing will happen. Lately, we've had 3-4 cashier callouts per day which makes it really difficult for those of us who've chosen to show up. :/

I just have to say I enjoy seeing how dedicated everyone on here is to their job... I have called out in the last 5 years a total of 1 time. Every roll I have been in I feel can't be done if I'm not there. I will show up even if I was vomiting all morning, even if I have major digestive issues I will still go and just feel like shit the whole time. I'm also in it for the money...you know the reason I have a job

I barely call off but I have really have bad ulcers and sometimes I get flare-ups ( I watch my diet constantly) but sometimes my stomach hurts so bad so I have to call off. I have only called off 3 times this year and I am hoping I do not have to call off anymore this year....
