Yes, Store director is same as STL.

Store I was at had an STL and a functional except for title STL. Then the STL left and we had a new STL and a functional STL. That one disappeared fast and finally the STL and the functional STL were the same person. I loved her to death, platonically.

Not technically my store, but still don’t need to narrow down where I’m at/from. Somewhere I still work more than occasionally 🤷🏻‍♂️

On a really good day maybe 25? It varies with the stock price but generally 15 to 20, though I've heard of some stores having up to 70 directors before a busy holiday. Great question though.

Larger volume stores used to have an operations etl that oversaw all etls. They were not the sd, but were the middle man. Pretty sure they did away with that position.
