HR ETL Job

So i had an issue with something and to my HR ETL and i was told she was only here to protect Targets interest and not here to deal with the TMs problems. Os anyone else having this issue or is it just my HR ETL?

Our HR ETL will bend over backwards as much as they can to help the Team with any issues/problems they may have.

At the end of the day though, they can only do so much, and Target's policies may restrict how much they can do before they have to say no more.

Seems like a weird thing to say though, guessing we won't know the details though.
 
I’m surprised that your HR ETL was so bluntly straightforward about it, but the fact that HR is there to protect Target is the plain unvarnished truth. Anything that HR does that benefits the TMs is either incidental to their main objective or purely coincidental, but that an HR ETL would be as honest about it as yours was is truly shocking. Letting that particular cat out of the bag really destroys the carefully crafted illusion that HR is there to help the TMs.
It’s not necessarily the individual HR ETL’s fault, however, and some do the best they can to help TMs, but it’s the nature of the job to protect Target’s best interests, not the TMs. Your HR ETL doesn’t appear to be one of those who cares to step up to help TMs at all and whose attitude and big mouth aren’t protecting Spot’s illusions all that well either.

Sadly that is true. I had 1 good HR the entire time i have worker for Target.

I was just trying to get extra hours for January since corporate cuts our throats every 1st quarter. I asked all the TLs and ETLs about working shifts im their departments but they all said i have to talk to HR about it and then she told me what she did and said it wasnt her job to help the TMs with such things as getting hours. So if the Etls tell me to talk to her and she says its not her problem , who else am i supposed to talk to about hours.

Guessing HR just needs to key you for the other departments, not sure if ETL's can do that themselves.

That's HR's only responsibility I would think, they're not there to hunt down hours for you. That's on you to watch for shifts that are put up.

Yeah i pick up shifts that i am coded for when available. But my old HR would talk with the ETL about extra hours for everyone who got cut badly. She was really good but this new one is always just worried about coffee bar for the breakroom and having chili cookoffs because she found a new recipe on tik tok she wants to try.
