Archived I need advice

Ok so this is what’s going on , I’ve worked the beauty department for awhile now, I liked it a lot at first. All I really do is help customers and ZONE ZONE ZONE ALL DAY LONG !
A little over a month now I asked to be transferred to T-XXX store because I had moved and it’s to far to keep commuting, it takes me 59 min (on a good day) to get to work. I tried to stay as long as I could but the drive is getting to be to much. So when I asked for a transfer (to a new target that I can literally see from my bedroom window) HR was very understanding but word got out about my transfer to the rest of the beauty team and their whole demeanor changed about me. I had one girl tell me I didn’t try hard enough to stay and she didn’t like me at first another (50 something years old) told me to hurry up and leave because they didn’t need me, whenever I’m not there, they talk bad about me and when I am there , they’re not very nice (sounds immature I know ) Everyday I find out more and more of what they’ve said about me, just the other day I was told that at the beginning one of them didn’t want me working there so she told the manager not to hire me. I’m a grown a*** woman I’m tired of it being so high school, I keep asking HR About my transfer and they keep telling me to just keep waiting, I would just put in my two weeks because they are making it uncomfortable for me to work there but I have kids so I need the job, HR knows alittle about what’s going on but not everything ( I don’t want to seem like a little kid telling on a bully) I don’t know how much longer I can do this, I want my transfer to go through so badly so I can just leave already!
What do you guys think I should do ?

It sounds like they are jealous that you're getting to leave. This has caused resentment. There's really nothing you can do about the childishness. I've ran into this at my own store. At the end of the day people will talk. Most people who act like this are actually threatened by the person they are talking about. It's also easy to join the bandwagon. For most people it's easier to be negative than positive. I would not put in my two weeks, but I would question why it's taken over a month for a transfer. Especially this time of year. I presume this should have been done prior to hiring all of the seasonal help. I would just avoid negative situations and block out the gossip.

Don't listen to the mean girls, and shut down anyone who comes to you with stories. I would visit the new store and speak with the ETL. They initiate transfers now.

Agree with Yetive keep out of that rumor mill. What they do or dont say doesnt matter poke into your new store and see what its about. People are petty for their own reasons usually from personal failings. You go do you and let the crows do them.

In nature; “ birds of a feather flock together “. Do not let the ‘not very nice’ or talking behind your back or comments like ‘ leave already’ get to you! Your family comes first, stay cause u need the job. Prove them wrong by doing a good job regardless of their poor attitude. We have a bully at my store, she is a mean nasty woman, she thinks she has friends cause there are people that agree with her and gossip with her to her face because they are afraid of her and don’t want her attacking them. Mind your own business, ignore them, do your job well, or you’ve let them win . Good luck with the transfer cause that commute is cutting into your life.

I would let my supervisor know what was said. That BS talk should be stopped.

Transfers seem to not work at Target. I'd talk to new store, make sure they have position, and nag HR daily if they do.
