Hi !!! ❤️ I'm Derp!! I'm gonna be blunt. I'm 28, and this is my first job. Ever. I've been in college off and on, trying to decide what I want to do with my life besides Computer Science or sitting at a desk all day.
Did I throw myself right into the deep waters? Yes. Is this gonna be a good learning experience? Absolutely. 🙂 Am I terrified? You betcha.
I interviewed for Seasonal Tech but was offered Seasonal Style. I understand that's normal, so I accepted the offer, and now I'm waiting for orientation in about 2 weeks.
I've been to my store multiple times before, as it's smack dab in the center of downtown. I know how busy it can get at any time of day. :/
My GF is already yelling at me to put Lego sets and KPop albums to the side for her. 🤣❤️
I can't wait to take my photo "in uniform" next to the little Bullseye statue, alongside all the tourists. 🤣 I literally went to Ross and got two cheap solid red polos, 1 cotton and 1 polyesther. I'm gonna wear a red T-shirt to orientation, with a decent sized student org logo, just to see what they say. 🙂
I'm very introverted. I know customers are gonna be annoying, can't read, or follow instructions. But I'm just ready to get out of my comfort zone, make new friends, and learn something new every day!. 🙂 I know that sounds like a corny answer to the interview question, but it's true! 🙂 I can't wait to hear any advice you guys have!! I'm an avid Redditor too, I've been reading threads since I got the call back on Sunday. 🙂
