Has anyone’s DC launched this contraption yet?
If so..how do you like it?
Most important…does it know when you have wireless earbuds in?
Thank You!🧟‍♀️

No news of it at my DC yet. Saw it briefly mentioned during our E+F ATM, but they made it sound like it was mostly for alerting PIT accidents.

Don't know about this particular one, but in other places that have something similar, it reports any collisions the equipment is in, and has a digital safety checklist to go through at start of shift.

Probably provides other data like average speed, how much time equipment is in movement vs sitting still, etc.

Just more BS to big brother employees. OMs will probably hate it due to reports of minor impacts that have never been a big deal in the past... lol.

It is very inaccurate, so it knows that you have earbuds in about 50% of the time even if you forgot them today.
It gives off impact alarms a couple times a quarter sometimes when you are parked and regularly thanks you for exiting the vehicle safely when you are still in it.
The check out sheet is a joke. The questions are in random order, so a may ask to check your braking distance before any basic safety checks like hooking up in an OP. It locks out all other functions when you are moving but not the check list. If you want to get out and check the wheels as you go, you are encouraged .

Depends on what equipment your building has. Target currently is s combination Crown, Yale and Raymond. Raymond and Yales versions are superior even though Yale equipment is garbage.

The advantage is no more paper checklists, accurate incident reporting (allegedly), team members can only operate equipment they're actually certified on because it'll be badge swiped. And if someone damages it on the shift before you, the system logs who was on the equipment last.

The cons, well everything that's mentioned up above.

Always locking out equipment, having to call OMs all the way across the building to unlock because we’re short staffed. Hit a bump and the equipment is locked for a collision 😂. Idk if it is the same but we definitely already have something similar. Can even send a TM a message if you need labels swapped or etc.
