Is there a chance I can still be hired, or should I just give up?

Last Wednesday, I completed an in-person interview with Target after finishing my HireVue interview. Today, I received a message saying, "We wanted to let you know, however, that the hiring team has not selected you for further consideration for this role."

I initially applied for the On-Demand role, and during the interview, they told me that if I were hired, I would be placed in a Seasonal position instead. However, my application still shows the On-Demand role.

Is there a chance I could still be considered for the Seasonal position, or should I assume that I was not selected?

I did everything I could to try to get this job. I told them I was available to work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. throughout the entire week, including weekends. I live close enough to walk there in under five minutes. I dressed professionally, arrived on time, and was as respectful and courteous as possible during the interview.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Oof. Yeah try again at a different time, if you're still looking. It doesn't mean "we don't like you" it just means "we have found people for all the open positions". Maybe your competition was too strong, and/or the volume of applicants far outweighed the available positions.
