I have to say that you really do feel like a grown up when you have one; from the pay, to the responsibilities, to the way you dress. Everything just improves. I now feel more in control of how I spend my evenings than when I had all the time off in the world.
One lesson I learned from my days at Target: never take it home with you. Once you leave work, leave it there. I also have a job now where I am treated as an adult rather than as a baby; I go to the washroom when I want and I can go on lunch and get some freaking air.
How did I spend so much of my working life without this? This is freedom.
Damn.
There are stresses with this job. The money just makes the stress so much easier.
