New Rollouts for 2025?

I have an issue with the recent update on price change salvage. Alot of hair accs some makeup is now donate and a label doesn't print. Not an issue if I'm there and people ask where should they put. What about when I'm off or weekends. There's always so many people processing this stuff. Crap I still have issues with veterans not putting label next to the upc.

I only learned to do that from reading about it on thebreakroom.org. 🙄

Interesting. I helped salvage those and it printed donate stickers for me.

When a printer doesn't print, at least for me when doing defects, restart the printer. It forgets occasionally.

It's not a printer issue. These items would be would print a salvage label in the past. With the new price change salvage update you don't choose between salvage/toss/destroy. It's now automatic and it will say donate but labels don't print.

the new process for setting POGs is killing me ! Are you guys liking it ? It feels like lot of time is getting wasted . It’s good if you have lot of time . But when we have. Backroom full of freight to push and 30 something’s pogs to do .. it’s a different story!

I remember when I was a backroom tm after we finished the pulls I spent 3-4 hours a night going through the backroom fixing aisles and purging locations. Imagine having that kinda time now. Fast Fun and Friendly was the time to be a proud target employee.
We had such time during last year q4 when we all had max hours and work gets caught up everyday. We used extra hours to deep zone and find expired things and much more . What we need is more people with more hours 🤣🤣

Loved my job and Target 2011 until 2017 when modernization ruined operations. Now I just sufffer along reminiscing the old days

When an organization describes management and policy changes with verbage such as "transformation", "reform" and "modernization", one can be hopeful and optimistic but also skeptical. How many times throughout human history are we reminded of two truths

1) The Law of Unintended Consequences
2) "New" and "Improved" don't always mean the same thing.

Can someone with a bigger brain than I explain this in simple one syllable words? Because right now it looks like they are admitting they’ve not been telling us what the heck has been going on. And that’s something they’re never going to do

Found a Q1 Newsletter reviewing store tech and it turns out this was in reference to the leader MyDay rollout a few weeks ago. A lot of words for a rather small project. I guess it led to some small number of few clicks and MyDay running x% faster.

"Store teams lack a holistic view of their daily workload which causes friction between process priorities, leads to inefficiencies, inaccuracies and inconsistencies in how stores optimize workload."

"THESE are the good ol' days"... is what I would normally say. But Target has truly lost its way. Hoping they find it soon. Even so, take time to appreciate the things that work well, because they will eventually change

I would say the leader view on MyDay doesn't actually make it easier to prioritize workload, it just visually makes it easier to see using colors and circles (think like closing circles on your smartwatch). It does not clearly identify which processes should be handled in which order of priority.

Now what would be helpful is if it could look at the current state of workload complete vs. not complete and then tell you "if you're going to have to burn an area this week, it can be this one." This would allow stores to focus on the realistically achievable without inevitably picking the wrong thing- that is what leads to inefficiencies, inaccuracies, and inconsistencies.

I'll try to find the newsletter again. It had some interesting things being tested like rolling out the audit pathing thing to price changes and scanning the FDC truck during breakdown to get items to prioritize pushing and having it delay updating SFQs/OHs after accepting.

This sounds intriguing. Let us know what you find. What changes are coming to price change? I know I am going to hear much weeping and wailing when the have to scan the FDC truck.
