the closing tl rumor pops up often. when i took the position, i originally told my SD i would take it since i felt like we were trending away from closing tls. my SD reached out to our DSD and we were told that there was as no bases to the rumor. i am VERY interested in hearing if anything has changed or if this is an actual rumor…
with the emphasis on the zone, and guest impressions that is currently happening, i do feel like it would be silly to do away with closing tls. there is definitely value added to having consistency with closing even if many days i wish i wasn’t a closing tl… or wish that it was a slightly elevated position compared to the previous 4 TL spots i’ve cycled through.
absolutely cannot get rid of a fulfillment tl though. as a closing tl, i run fulfillment most nights… but if there’s a morning without the fulfillment tl, pick on time is almost always red due to no one wanting to take ownership of fulfillment in the fulfillment tl’s absence.

We asked this question as soon as the mandate came out for all leaders to close. We were told there is no information on Closing TLs going away…but all signs point to it vanishing.

Yeah it will phase out. We will be told to offer them different positions. District headcount’s will be taken into consideration for pieces moved on the board. Then the ones that remain…😬

I think the closing TL should stay. They have go cart access, know what the issue at night are, who is the best at what they are trained in and so much more
