Archived Question on Accrued vacation

Hi to anyone that sees this,
I'm in PA (Philadelphia area) and am wondering if I quit/fired or put in my 2 weeks will I get paid for vacation hours? I know theres a difference between vacation hours and vacation payout, but when I search online I'm getting mixed answers. Hopefully someone here can tell me the truth . Thanks

Unless your state requires it, no. Use it before you put in your two weeks

Thanks. I saw some threads from a few years ago, people were saying we can use vacation hours up to our average for past schedules/weeks. Does that still apply now?

Yes. Your current average hours are on your paycheck. And I say make sure to use it before 2 weeks as some people report you have to work a day after you use it for it to count so better safe then sorry
