Hi everyone,
I was just hired not long ago and in about two weeks im scheduled for inbound? Half my shifts that week are fulfillment and the other half are inbound. I just started doing fulfillment alone and otherwise only have a few hours trained in Checklanes from my first day on the floor. Is that normal or has it happened to any of yall fulfillment people?

I imagine they'll have you do fulfillment regardless of where you're scheduled "on paper." It's not unlikely someone thought they were being clever stacking the schedule for fulfillment using other workcenters' payroll. In which case, you're going to be one of many, many TMs digging through godforsaken heaps of unworked freight to find the candy-cane-scented Tree Hut body scrub delivered five days ago...

If your availability is early mornings they might need extra hands on certain days for the unload. Its not a difficult job but can be overwhelming until you get used to it. It is very fast paced. You mentioned wanting to be kept after seasonal, then doing well on the truck is about as good as any position to learn. Fulfillment goes down drastically after the holidays so the hours are much less, uch more likely to be hours in inbound and maybe get a couple fulfillment shifts to get more hours.

Welcome to Target 🎯. “Expect more, pay less” Isn’t just the slogan, it’s now your way of life. (Joke). In all seriousness, the hours currently for your specific Store 🏬 might be more in the “Inbound” department, hence why as @Dead and Khaki said, you were scheduled 📆 as such. Learn other Departments as it will help you in the future should you want more “hours”. Hours drops drastically when the new year comes. Good luck 👍🏾
