It's not a hard job. It's easy to do when researching, but ideally should be done when planograms are newly set. That being said, it's a tremendous waste of time and payroll - at least at my store. The flow and salesfloor tms apparently cannot understand the concept of capacity - even in aisles/areas where they are specifically pointed out and huddles are held to show them(paper, softlines tables, etc.) The floor scanners don't show capacity, the pick labels do not show capacity, and most flow tms do not have equipment for scanning. Salesfloor tms claim that they don't need to check because "they know". Shut up. It's a wonderful idea and I was very excited that we could finally do this, but until it is actually meaningful and there is integrity and support for maintaining it, it's a waste of time.
