Sick pay

Starting in July, team members averaging 20 hours will start accruing sick time up to 40 hours. If your state already has sick time, you will stick with your state's program.

Yes. This will be a Target benefit and not dependant on your state.

Cool, my state already requires sick pay but I'm glad Target is expanding this to states that don't.

In my state Target apparently has to offer sick pay.

It shows up in My Time Self Service.

AFAIK it can't be requested through the system so you have to get a note to the HR ETL.

I would also give one to your TL AND FOLLOW UP WITH THEM.

I couldn't get sick pay for a day I specifically asked not to be scheduled however.

The lesson learned there is I should schedule my doctor's appointment on a day I work, call in sick, then ask for sick pay!

When does a sick pay have to be requested to HR? I assume it is the Monday before the next payday. Mine will be over two different pay periods. Thanks.

If scheduled on a day you asked off or don't want to work def use that sick time. Call in sick on app or home comp and you won't have to worry bout answering a hundred questions from mgt.

Yeah might be a state law thing, I can use sick for medical appointments. Check what your state requires
