I've been a part-time flow TM since May, and occasionally I'll check my paystubs to see if I suddenly earned any vacation hour credits, and its always at zero. What makes you able to earn vacation? Spending more than a certain amount of time at the company? Being officially full time? Being de facto full time (working 32+ hours on most weeks even though you arent considered a full time TM)? Or it is only for ETLs and above? If so, thats bad news for me because it seems like an unwritten rule at my store that flow TMs have to be the nephew of a manager to get more hours or a promotion :p

Dont quote me, but I think it's something like an average of 23 hours a week. I've worked at Spot for two years and have 20 hours vacation and 26 sick.

Oh ok, sounds pretty reasonable. I wonder if each week you avg >23 hours or so you will earn like .5 hours of vacation, or if you need to be over 23 hours for a more sustained period to earn it.

not really, you didn't confuse things.....earning vacation time is a benefits. Some other benefits may be
more time related than vacation hours.

Here is a chart from the old TM Vacation Policy SPD I had years ago that shows how much vacation you earn per hour worked, based on years of service.

So up to 5 years of service you get 0.019 vacation hours for each hour you work, once vacation kicks in.

I was going to say, I never was over 23 hours average, and I was earning it. I had like 7 hours at the year mark I think. It came in handy one week at the end!

From doing so many orientations, I believe that after 6 months and if you average over 21.5 hours weekly, then you can start to accrue vacation days.

Once you start accruing it, does it become available to use instantly (each paycheck you have a little bit more)? Or does it only happen at the beginning of the year/on your hiring anniversary?

You will accrue on each paycheck once eligible.

What is the vacation like for STL/ETL? I know they are not expected to work as long as the rest of us to earn decent time off. As long as I have worked for the company Ive never asked any ETL.

So how exactly do we get personal time? I've worked almost 40 hours a week for months (signing) and I've never gotten personal time, even though a GSA who only works 3 days a week has PTO...

Are you new? You have to be with Target Six months and have avg hours over 31.5 to get personal time.

If you averaged 31.5 hours by the first of this year you will start getting it in April.

I've been with Target for almost 4 years. Became signing specialist last May. My average hours is 33 hours a week on my current pay stub.
