Archived Starting Pay

Was working as a swing shift manager at McDonald's at $9. Quit that BS job and took a pay cut to $8 for less stress at Target. Then got a $2/hr bump in pay (disaster pay) that got made permanent. Now I make $14. Not bad imo.

The only decent raises as an hourly employee are from paygrade increases or being in a store during a major logistics time change and getting the shift diff added into your base pay. The rest aren’t going to keep up with inflation, which is why the starting pay increases lately have been so drastic.
