I'm thinking of switching to backroom from electronics. I'm not sure who I talk to about possibly switching or starting training. Any help or tips?

Yep. ETL-Log or the Team Leader that owns the backroom. They are going to immediately evaluate you for the position, so be prepared to sell yourself for why they should switch you into the backroom. Backroom is all about quality work with a sense of urgency. Work quickly but don't screw up the backroom location accuracy.
