Helping the less fortunate which affects more people or helping a small minority(statistically speaking) gain access to more privileges and benefits from the government?
I am not a mind reader. If I was, I wouldn't be working at Target. However, I would say that most people would be more willing to help the less fortunate ie poor people in Detroit or citizens of Chicago who can't afford to pay for the funerals of their loved ones that were victims of daily drive by shootings if given the choice or put on the spot.
A human can die without food, clothing, water, and shelter. I've never heard of any cases in which a human died because they weren't allowed to get married.
I don't see marriage as a right for anyone. If it was a right, there wouldn't be single people. Voting isn't even a right in America.
If was a right, why can't felons vote? I honestly don't see a problem with a convicted felon that has changed their life for the better after being released from prison being allowed to vote.
Marriage is a benefit scam designed by Uncle Sam. If you are truly in love, a piece of paper shouldn't define it. Your love should be something unique and something that you share with another individual.
Am I going to stop a gay couple from getting married or trying to change marriage laws for their own personal benefit? No
Am I going to stop a woman from having an abortion? No
Am I going to stop a person from doing drugs? No
Not my place or style to go up to someone and critique their behavior and lifestyle choices.
Does that mean I necessarily support that stuff or all behaviors and lifestyle choices? No idea.
Personally, I am just trying to survive each day without going insane.
