On the new POS, hit the home button and then select the Tax exempt registration. You will input information on the screen and the guest will enter some on the pin pad. You will need to scan their ID. Going forward, the guest will only have to type in their phone number for to get the tax exempt. When ringing up the guest, you will hit a tax exempt button and they enter the phone number. Just do it on the new POS. The old POS will be gone soon. You have to do the same amount of work on the old POS so it won't really save you much time.
On the old pos, you hit one of those K buttons and tax exempt will be an option. You enter all the info.
