Ummm, like a tornado went through there or maybe just a lot of Wal-Mart shoppers. It is not pretty. But we kept the checklanes moving, so who cares?

My store was able to get all of the Toys clearance ticketed and on the floor today. It helped a lot that we pushed a ton of D-code out within the last week and a half or so. There wasn't much left in the back to pull and ticket.

My ETL wants us to pull everything out of the backroom and flex it all out to the floor because it is so empty. We got hit hard these last couple weeks.

We pulled and flexed all the d-code out last weekend and a lot of it has sold. So we'll have less to markdown which is awesome and we'll have plenty of space to flex out new items before the transition.

Right after the Walmart across the street from us closed last year, our toys section started looking a lot more messy. Your theory may be correct.
