i would be super pissed off if a team member that wasn't trained in GS picked up a shift and convinced an LOD to sign off on it. If i walked in that day and someone was working up at GS that wasn't trained i would immediately move them out to cashier and move someone else up there.
 
I was told I did a great job at guest service and I got an apology from her. She needs to stop assuming I can't do it when I can.
 
We had problems with insufficiently-trained TMs at guest service to the point that GSTL/GSAs were getting coached.
Among the problems: improper sorting (getting screamed at by SFTLs is NOT part of FFF), improper processing of defectives & failure of return policies to name a few. This may be why they're reluctant.
You won't get any where tho, until you loosen up the attitude toward her.
Especially if she's in charge of scheduling.
