Archived What does your store call the new scanners?

One TM forgot what they were called and said over the walkie "LOD can you come up front and get me a giraffe?"

I was kinda hoping that name would catch on...

Oh and we also have TMs who still call them iPods.

I'll see what I can do to reinforce the giraffe name here.

I hear both, Zebra more when the LOD is freaking out trying to make sure they have all been returned at the end of the night. I don't clock out now until I know all are accounted for.

Why is this such a big deal in some stores. We never have a problem with our equipment, and no one is so protective of it.
