What's it like working inbound-GM?

Thank God, I ended up getting hired back to Target a different location which is only 5 mins from my house. I thought it wouldn't be possible since I got let go due to attendance from a different target during seasonal last year (A mistake which I have learned from greatly)

But, I had a question, I got hired as Inbound/GM, and the HR rep explained to me that it'll be 5am shifts but that its a guaranteed 35-40 hours a week.

Getting up early is not my issue, that's fine haha, but what can I expect with this position, will it go by fast during the day? What's it like?

Yeah it definitely goes by quick especially if you are also unloading the truck. If you come in at 5 might just be pushing truck freight most places are in earlier unloading. Show up on time otherwise there might not be someone at the door and you will be stuck waiting for someone to come unlock the door. Inbound generally gets more consistent hours all year but dont be surprised if you get less nobody is garaunteed full time hours

My store at 5:00 a.m. Would be helping to unload the truck (sorting your area's boxes onto uboats or flats as they come down the line), then pushing those vehicles, backstocking whatever didn't go out, and throwing away your trash. Then if you have time helping other depts finish their stuff. And getting interrupted a couple of times to go help pick some online orders too.
