Archived What are my chances of being hired at CVS?

At my Target they start at 9.00 for cashiers. I would assume CVS folks make that or more. I would just love to come strolling through there and be like "Hey! What up people! I'mmmm baaaaack!" LOL

Archived What are my chances of being hired at CVS?

I quit Target about a month ago. Then I saw that CVS inside my store is hiring. What do you think my chances are of being hired there being I nc/ns-ed myself out? lol I think I'm going to fill out an app and just see what happens.... Probably pays more. :/

    Archived Target lost my application?

Ask them to search for you by your SS #. Maybe it was sent to another location. It should tell them exactly where it is. <former HRtm.

Archived Was I just completely disrespected?!

I woulda been like Man, you're lucky I'm even here! Lots of call off at my previous store Everyone wore varying shades of red. No one said a word. Even the stl wore what looked to be neon red/orange to me. Don't let them get to you over that!

Archived left after 9.5 yrs...what do I put down on apps as reason for leaving?

Also, why would I stay a cashier for several years? Because due to getting some great raises in the past I was making almost 11.00 an hour "just being a cashier". I don't drink the kool-aid so I could never be a TL or higher. No. Thank. You. Been around long enough to see what they have to deal...

Archived left after 9.5 yrs...what do I put down on apps as reason for leaving?

I was an HRtm for 6 yrs along with doing cash office. My mom had a heart attack and then heart surgery and then dealt with congestive heart failure for about 5 months. I'm her only child so I had to "step down" from HR and just be a cashier and cash office. I couldn't work 40 hrs anymore and...

Archived left after 9.5 yrs...what do I put down on apps as reason for leaving?

So after 9.5 yrs at Target, I finally left. I had a conversation with my 5 yr old minded ETL-HR who I am twice her age, who acted like I didn't know anything, who acted like I didn't deserve hours because as she ever so slightly hinted that I hardly had any redcards recently. Lace your fingers...

Archived Go Out With A BANG!

I haven't seen a lot posted from cashiers or front end TMs but here's a thought... My store has NEVER changed the info that the cash office TM enters in order to order change from the bank. It's not done from the computer. It's done on the phone and I have the # memorized by now. Hmmm, how many...

    I'm Lost! The REDCard Thread

Amen to this!! I get nothing while Target makes money off the the Target credit card. We've been offered Starbucks but I'm diabetic and can't drink all of that sugar and carbs, so No, thanks! I try and work the spiel in but only if it feels natural. I'm not going to ask every little old lady who...

    Archived Assigned Check Lanes

We don't have assigned lanes, thank God. We usually start on one lane and after coming back from break we give someone else their break by taking over their lane. Some people do have their favorites but I don't get it... When I first start my shift I make sure I have receipt and catalina paper...

Archived Incorrect pay for a year?

<<<former HRtm At my store EVERY schedule is printed twice-one for the wall and one for the file so they should have a copy of where you've been working. They may try and jack you around but maybe you have a decent HR and they won't. All you can do is try and if push comes to shove, call...

Archived Self Check Outs: Why Target Missed the Big Read Ball

I use the SCO at Walmart because their cashiers have no idea how to bag like items together and I hate having 15 bags with 3 items in them. I always use the SCO so I can bag all of the cold/freezer items together, canned food together, etc. Plus I can double bag what I feel like. lol And yes...

    Archived Leave of absence question

You would need to ask your etl-hr. Back when I was in hr it would just depend on each tm's school schedule and whether they were coming home during a break. Nowadays they may say you have to return to work in order to stay on LOA. Not sure...just ask your hr person.
