I've been in the military since leaving Target for about a year now. I went shopping with my wife the other day at the nearby Target, and when I went to check out, I saw the GSTL over the walkie say "we're at thirty five reds - halfway there! keep it going, team!". It looked like he was dead...

    Archived Quitting before 2w period?

Not trying to play devil's advocate, but win what exactly? I could alternatively as stated by others just leave and not have to deal with it at all whatsoever. If ineligible rehire is all they can generally do, I'm pretty sure my decision is made.

    Archived Quitting before 2w period?

It has nothing to do with intensity or not being able to handle tasks given to me. I do however have a problem with being regularly targeted simply because I put in my two weeks to finally leave for the military. It's a $9 an hour job and I have money saved until I ship. I'm not exactly begging...

    Archived Quitting before 2w period?

I'm finally leaving for military basic in January, so I recently put in my 2 weeks at work so I can start getting things sorted and done in real life before I ship off. However, ever since I put in my 2 weeks, my ETLs are hounding me hard. They're much more unfair and disrespectful than...

I actually can't even say I'll miss my cashiers because more than half of them left for better prospects/quit, so the majority of new hires are seasonal minors that constantly need me to ring up their alcohol. I will miss nothing about the front-end.

Archived Target to remove Gender Based Labeling?

I just had this experience a week ago with a guest. Guest: Did Target ever go through with that gender thing? Me: Not sure, I think so. Guest: I gotta get outta here. He actually walked out of the store.

At first, it wasn't terrible. It wasn't my cup of tea, but I was able to digest it without making too much of a face. Our front-end then all of a sudden fell apart pretty quickly for lack of a better word. We lost our ETL-HR & GE at the same time, and although they were replaced, the front-end...

Every single shift I had about a week after my initial promotion to GSA became GSA/GSTL, 35-39 hours a week. It was pure hell.

Archived Receiving TM's, how is it?

I just voluntarily stepped down as GSA after a few months (literally hated my job), and after talking to my ETLs, they decided they really need me to help in receiving due to my strong solo/personal work ethic, so that's where they are putting me ASAP. With that said: I'm kind of wondering...

Side question: Why do I have lots of shifts for my old position on the schedule? Is that regular? I'm not really complaining, it's just that it seems odd to flip-flop constantly from a manager position to a regular TM position. I mean, wouldn't that confuse the ever-living shit out of your...

Okay, well, here's my update. So far, I really like it a lot for misc. reasons and my team respects me minus one person, but it is what it is. I'm just hoping this isn't like it was with cashier, i.e. I loved it at first and started to dread it later on.

Well, I see "training" all over the schedule, with a shift earlier than all of my rest for an opener, so I imagine the ball is certainly starting to finally roll. I was beginning to get a little worried as my leaders weren't really saying too much to me, but I didn't want to bring it up too much...

Thanks TD, you're a cool dude. I'll keep you posted with how this develops. According to my higher-up ETL, this transition is supposed to occur or further continue this week, so we'll see.

So something weird happened today. Before I left, one of my GSTLs called me into the office, and then one of my ETLs walked in. My GSTL congratulated me, but kept using the word if (i.e. if you get the position...) when talking to me and offering future help for the position. This is confusing...
