    Cash office

We have 15 registers, 4 SCO’s and 4 service desk registers. It takes about 45-50 minutes to deposit and withdraw. And then about 15-20 minutes to prepare checks, collect coupons and enter everything in COA. I’m usually finished and out of there in 75-80 minutes.

    Archived Teacher Prep discount?

The discount works with the bullseye items and other non-traditional back to school items. There are a couple of exclusions like clearance items. Everything is in your July addendum. And your weekly summary.

    Archived Super Stressed

I told my guest advocates when they were training behind the service counter that you have to be ok with not knowing everything. Sure 80% of the time it’s the stuff we do everyday. But those other 20% you have to just be willing to ask for help. But that is what the team is there for. And then...

    Archived Cash Office

That is true with the recycler. But the only difference is that. When you don’t have loose bills of a denomination it’s zero so this is no different. With a recycler it’s just always zero. Everything else is the same whether using one or not. You still have to account for all your advances in...

    Archived Cash Office

That’s not true. The safe balance worksheet is exactly the same. The only thing that changes is what is entered in the COA.

So the column you have listed as “CL” is the 999 amounts from the cash advance worksheet. This is all the start funds that get banked at night (check lanes, electronics, food avenue, SCO, etc) by denomination. So if you have had a change in registers then this will change. This will also change...

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

It’s up to the store director if he/she wants to add more key carriers. I’ve been given an upgrade to my keys (I was replenishment lead) but other leads have not been given keys. At our store the guest feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are getting so many more guests stopping...

    Archived TL to ETL

I’m not the closing lead. I’m the Guest Service and Engagement lead. If we move from low to base (we are less thank 500k from 27m last year) then the Guest Service and Engagement Leader will be added to our store. That is the one I’m hoping to at least interview for.

Archived About that pay raise to $12...?

This is so true. With the new operational model the service and engagement advocate role is a bit different. But the upside is more hours and being able to do more then just sit at a lane or the service desk.

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

I don’t understand everybody’s obsession with other peoples pay. Knowing what your coworkers are being paid should have no effect on your ability to do your job. You either come to work and do your job or you don’t. Thinking that you should be paid more than somebody else and not doing your...

Archived How many GSTLs does your store have?

Even the "low" stores in the new Ops Model has two Guest Service and Engagement Leads. We are one and used to have only one GSTL. Now two leads up front. But we report directly to the Store Director. There is no Guest Service and Engagement Leader in the "low" stores (less than $27m)

Archived tax on Tm depdent discount card

The tax implications is only for a card for a registered domestic partner. Not for a spouse or dependant. Domestic partner cards will say so in the top corner and can only be ordered if you have registered them with Target. This was the case before same sex marriage was legal. My husband used to...

    Archived TL to ETL

They prefer you have been at the Sr TL level before promotion if you do not have a degree. But not sure with the new Ops model how that will change. I'm in the pilot and don't have a degree but was already being developed for a promotion to ETL. My next step was Senior but looks like I am being...

    MEGATHREAD Target myDevices

We completed 5 transactions on our mycheckout devices before I left at 4pm today. We got a third one at our store because we average about 13 a day. It's super easy and the guests love it. Especially because there is no cost for shipping.

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

I'm pretty sure this won't be a problem. As I understand it the GVP's will pratically be living in the pilot district in their group. And we are leaders are giving almost daily feedback on what is working and what is not working. I agree the tendency in the past was to look good for management...

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

Trying to figure out a way to convey this that makes the most sense so here it goes. There are no more specialized process teams. Only specialized service teams. So if you are general merchandise expert you will work freight, set POGs, do signing and pricing. Along with zoning and general...

    MEGATHREAD 2018-2019 Store Modernization Megathread

My guess, and what I believe we will be doing at our store, is keeping the receiving TM as coverage for the dock. But once we figure out how the backroom will be scheduled I fully expect all backroom experts to be trained to cover the dock.
