    Archived Cleaning the Popcorn Machine

Awesome, thank you! I didn't even know we had kettle clean powder. I'll have to try and find that on the order guide.

Gotcha. Good to know! What time do you usually shut it off? From what my team tells me, they turn it off an hour before close. Also, another question, do you have a turbo chef oven? I wasn't trained at all with how to clean it. The store that I trained in had a pizza hut.

    Archived Fear Ye Steritech!

They have holders that you can put on the walls for your gloves. It's a pain though because they never seem to be where you need them most. What my STL suggest is to keep them on their side if you want them on the countertops by where you use them most.

Ah, alrighty. I guess it's a good thing my team does it every night then. I know that kettle is heavy though! I'm not looking forward to picking that thing up.

    Archived Fear Ye Steritech!

I was training in another store last week and Steritech came and did a walk. It was awesome because I got to see how a walk goes before going to my area. Thankfully that store got away with no dings but I have seen quite a few dings over the past years. -No paper towels in the dispenser for the...

    Archived Cleaning the Popcorn Machine

Hi guys! I was just recently trained at another store for Target Cafe team leader. After coming back to my store, there are a lot of different routines that I was trained differently on. My main concern is the popcorn machine and how to properly clean it. Is it safe and necessary for us to...

Archived First time Working "the line"

Also, some stores are now unloading trucks at 7:30am. If it's an especially low volume store, expect to be on the line while the truck is getting unloaded. If they want to be nice to you, they'll put you towards the back (or end) of the line so you can get accustomed to how the process works. If...

    Archived Piercings in Target Cafe

Hmm.. Not sure if I wanna risk keeping it in and seeing what my trainer says at the other store I'm training in. I'm training for FA TL, so I guess I should WANT to enforce it. /le sigh. Oh well, thanks for the answers guys.

Yeah, same here Eshana. I have the one with the ball that keeps it connected. I know I'm going to need some pliers to get this bad boy out. It's a 16 gauge but the ring is small.

    Archived Piercings in Target Cafe

Ugh. My nose ring has been in for two years now. I've never taken it out. I was really hoping it would be for solely Pizza Hut since they have added policies. Oh well. Time to go find some retainers and put a little foundation over it. Thanks for the reply!

    Archived Fa tl

Thank you guys for the great advice. I start training the week after next for two weeks and then I start my venture into FA TL. I've done Food Ave before quite a few times at an old store. They would switch me back and forth between Starbucks and Food Ave, but unfortunately I never got trained...

    Archived Piercings in Target Cafe

Are team members allowed to have piercings in Target Cafe if it doesn't include a Pizza Hut? I wasn't sure if it was a policy connected with only Pizza Hut or if it's Target's policy.

Archived If not kept on past probation as a transfer....

If you do something under probation, it'd have to be something pretty severe. I don't know what the exact rules are, but calling off and consecutively coming in late a lot will get you terminated under probation. As long as you just keep to the schedule and don't do anything ridiculous you'll be...

    Archived Fa tl

About the guest surveys, can a guest still enter it three times per drawing? And is it still by district? I've been in logistics for the last three years so it's been awhile since I've pushed surveys. I'm assuming the rules probably changed since. I know the questions did to match with vibe...

Archived ETL Offers my Position to another TM.

Well that's good then. Good luck on your interviews! It's always great to see team members and team leads continuing to get promoted rather than hiring outside.

    Archived Fa tl

So I was just recently promoted to FA TL. I'm super excited and I start my training at another store in three weeks. I've worked in food ave before but was never properly trained to do it. It's been about three years since then. I've got the basics down, but does anyone have any advice or secret...

Archived ETL Offers my Position to another TM.

Did you do interviews for an ETL position already? I would think they would try to get you situated first before your team member, but then again, they might want to be more worried about their butts and have a replacement for if you leave for another store for ETL. I'd definitely ask about it...

    Archived Is this normal?

I find that a bit odd they're sending you to a different store for a cashier position though. Usually they send team members to other stores for training because they have a lack of trainers in that particular work center. Stores tend to have quite a few cashier trainers since it's a skill that...

    Archived Moving up?

As far as I'm concerned, you can apply whenever you see a position open. It's usually on the boards in TMSC or you can check online through EHR. Don't quote me on this, but if you're a new team member you may have to be in your position/work center for the first three months before transferring...

    Archived Chat Sessions

My store has forms up on the wall by the HR office for sign ups with the time and date. Not sure if all stores are doing that. I'm assuming if you're not working when one is scheduled, you can come in still and join it. Whether or not you could get paid for that time, I don't know.
