I'm Lost! Can I report a specific TM to the integrity hotline for drug use?

Personal opinion - no. I understand why you are possibly thinking that though, the hotline should only be used for true business purposes examples would include; behavior that could illegal or unethical, quid pro quo, harassment, etc. Should you have speculation that somebody is under the...

Archived Lead Gave Me the Wrong Answer

In the past, I was always told that the system should be catching those small gaps and not allow them to happen. Though that was back when MAX was still around, LOL! But realalistaclly you should have just stayed clocked in, and either gone to break or stayed on a lane as you were being...

    Archived Using the walkies

It really depends on your leaders as others are saying, when I was a GSTL we just announced over the walkie “LOD and Salesfloor this is (name), going on a (15/lunch). X is watching the lanes.” Also when we were heading out for the day, primarily for the opening GSTL, “LOD and Salesfloor this...

    Archived The 20%/$20 Rule

Some items are coded differently for the price changes. Generally high ticket items will prompt for a supervisor override. Domestics are usually fine unless you are making a drastic change. It all goes through the system and if corporate sees item “x” is being changed a lot they will place the...

I'm Lost! Team lead on drugs!?

Whether or not the recreational use of marijuana is legal in any state, the company can still use it as a subject for termination/no hire. Any type of drug use, not prescribed, can be used for termination. You consented to be drug tested during the application you filled out online. I would...

    Archived Calling all APL's!

Hey everyone! Just looking to see if there is anybody who can give me some more information about APL position. Things have changed since I left the company and I just want to refresh myself! Any info is appreciated! Sorry if there is a post about this already, a redirect would be nice as well!

Archived Can a store keep an employee from transferring

I haven’t been with Target for a while but from an outside perspective that does seem reasonable. But there still would need to be a valid reason as to why the HR denies the application. Otherwise it still would violate EEO. As long as everything and everyone is being ethical and complaint.

Archived Can a store keep an employee from transferring

The EEO would still apply. All applications fall under EEO standards whether or not it is internal or external. They must be considered and screened. Unless the company wants to be fined :) But I do agree there is a lot of holes in the story.

Archived Can a store keep an employee from transferring

Not sure if Target is EEO/AA...but if they are any application for an open position would be required by law to screen and be considered, unless you didn’t met the qualifications and were screened out. You can do some out reach to the store you are wanting to go to, to my knowledge any ETL-HR...

    Archived What is compliance???

The whole compliance issue is very straightforward with the postings but it’s the state laws that govern your state that make it confusing. Some states require before working 5 hours you must take an unpaid break, but as stated before (sorry don’t know how to tag TTGOz) in MN it’s before working...

Archived Can they "force" you to stay past close/scheduled shift time?

An employer can not force you to stay...they can ask but if you say no they cannot reprimand for you for it. But they can reprimand you for not following the buddy system when leaving the store at night.

    Archived Payday--Veterans day

Veterans Day is observed by the Fed on Saturday this year...most if not all banks will be open on Friday. They will be closed Saturday. Your pay should not be affected and should be delivered on Friday morning.

    Archived Red Shirts

At the store I used to work at the GSTL would be responsible for all of the promo t-shirts, but ASANTS on that one...if you ask a leader or HRTM they can hopefully steer you in the right direction! The more people who wear them the better they are promoting and advertising!

    Archived Educational LOA question

On your resume, I would suggest leaving Target on it, from hire date until you made the decision to resign and it was a fully processed termination. Being with a company for longer than two years, especially for a younger person is extremely beneficial at times, as it shows you can stick it out...

    Archived Discount works after termination?

Exactly. It is locked into my account. I can not remove it. Therefore until it is removed by Target. There is nothing I can do, I only shop at Target, and am an ethical person which is why I called it into question lol

    Archived Discount works after termination?

Target cannot sue over their own negligence. If a company isn’t covering their own bases ABSOLUTELY no judge/jury of peers would agree with them.

    Archived Discount works after termination?

I spoke with the an old ETL-HR (no longer with the company) and they said that after the termination was completed it would deactivate. My number doesn’t even work in the store I was tied to before hand, or the store I was considering transferring too. I also have ordered things on Target.com...

    Archived Discount works after termination?

How would it be “illegal” I don’t have a discount card anymore. When they terminate employees, it’s suppoed to deactivate their discount, since it wouldn’t be an active number any more.

    Archived Discount works after termination?

So I was at my local Target tonight and used my employee discount...I have the new Target Wallet app and it has my discount saved into it. I also turned my card into the store that I used to work at. I was haven’t worked at Target for almost a year. I also did not retire or have enough time in...
