    Archived Demoting?

Stl just denied educational loa and demotion. So I’m not so sure why options get so limited and it feels like you’re forced out to quit. Isn’t target supposed to care about their team and their well-being and not just their business? I’ve seen good stls and I just wish mine was one of them.

    Archived Demoting?

Why is that a thing? What if the person loses passion for it and realizes that. I feel like that gives them little options.

    Archived Demoting?

The stl pretty much refused to let the person step down without some kind of medical paper saying they aren’t capable of doing their job and that was the first I heard of it which seemed really strange

    Archived Demoting?

Maybe? The person isn’t on a corrective action or anything like that but they asked to demote and they were told team leaders couldn’t demote anymore unless physical disability.

Does anyone know if the process for demotion has changed?

    Archived Thinking of leaving?

Well don’t get me wrong I’m confident with what I do and my leadership skills, I guess I’m just trying to figure out where these skills translate to best other than retail management jobs, and where’s a good starting point. I’ve applied to places like General Atomics but I’m trying to stay away...

    Archived Thinking of leaving?

I would love to move up to etl but sadly I don’t feel like my leadership really cares except for one person who wants me to do it. We even got a new dtl and he doesn’t care for tls at all. So it’s harder for me to keep putting myself out there to promote and get nothing in return at all. Then my...

    Archived Thinking of leaving?

I’m thinking of pursuing work outside of Target but I don’t know where to start or how my experience translates to anything but retail. I’m a senior TL now any tips?

    Archived Spider wraps

Spider wraps! How do you keep them untangled? We always wind them up, but some only tighten so much that it still gives room for others to get tangled in. Is there a better way to do it?

    Archived Bullseye's playground

My store is so bent on sales floor owning it that they won't allow any cashier or front end team member to touch it. Which I can understand at peak times but there's a lot of down time too where they could help a little. I can't seem to find any solution around it. The most I'll get is two...

    Archived Bullseye's playground

So I've tried reaching out to other stores and am stuck when it comes to bullseye being a sales floor responsibility, but how do you guys maintain or make it at least presentable. I feel like ours never gets touched and then it adds up so much it just becomes impossible.

Archived Going to a Meet&Greet/Interview for Store Transfer, Advice?

I feel like these stores give a little more exposure to team leads. I hear most execs talking about them and I feel that most district would be in them, seeing as they're new stores. Gives the seniors more of a chance to shine rather than the execs walking the visits and taking the credit. But...

Archived Going to a Meet&Greet/Interview for Store Transfer, Advice?

I'm a senior and also interested in going to a flex store and I've told my stl this. What's the max raise typically you can negotiate? Or if there's any seniors from a flex store already in California that might have some input about pay? My stl said the max raise would be around 20% but I'm...

    Archived Managing

Sorry for the late reply! But I have stationary, kitchen, pets, chemical, hba, cosmetics, toys, sporting goods, electronics, and seasonal. Seems like a lot. But four big blocks. I try and leverage my electronics team to help with two blocks though. I also help run the unload process once or...

    Archived Managing

Ok so I'm a hardlines senior team leader and the coverage at my store is almost nonexistent. I feel like I've been focusing my efforts in the wrong areas or maybe at the wrong times. I don't get a lot of shifts as hardlines and I help run the truck some days. So at most two days in hardlines...

    Archived Tuition reimbursement

Can we talk about this some more? My HR sent me a link for "edassist" but I'm not quite sure where to start the application the website is a little confusing. Has anyone else done this?

Archived Stuff You Still Don't Know How to Do.

Backstocking is pretty simple. Either with a mydevice or pda. First with the mydevice you scan your item you want to backstock see if there's a location for it in the back (wanting to keep these items together for future batches makes it a whole lot easier when pulling) and then scan your...

Archived Stuff You Still Don't Know How to Do.

I always forget how to do hardlines endcaps. I don't know how to find out whats setting on it. Mostly just figuring out where to start and the easiest way to do it.

    Archived Transferring?

Overall excellent review score and very reliable. And it surprised me because I've been a GSA before and nobody cared I was involved with a cashier. Honestly I feel the reason is directed at the senior, the Human Resources isn't their biggest fan but it shouldn't determine someone elses well...
