Archived 4am 'signing' shift?

I work in hardlines, this is my first signing shift. What is signing and what exactly will I be doing. Can someone be detailed about the whole process because I have no clue and would like to be somewhat prepared.

on a sunday? you will most likely be helping set up the weekly ad. you and a team of at least three others will scan each sale sign into the system, then set them up on the sales floor. it's pretty simple but your fingers will hurt from picking at all the label holders 🙂 the goal is to have everything scanned in and set up before 8am.
